The newest Rockabilly band to come out of Detroit, Rio & The Rockabilly Revival graced WCXI’s airwaves for their second trip back to the RRLS. They put on a stage show in the studio, getting ready for their CD release party on February 24 at Orchid in Ferndale, MI. The stunning and vocally passionate voice of Rio with her two beautiful “sisters” Ally and Renee on great backup vocals gave the WCXI towers an audio workout with their newest release from their new EP called “The Midnight Rebel Sessions.” We can’t forget the great rhythm section with Charlie Bongo on drums, keeping time like a Rolex, Sean Eric Harris, Musical Director and standup bassman extraordinaire, thumpin’ and bumpin’ and the Rockabilly cat himself, Jarod Thompson firing up his Revered Guitar. Man, listening to Jarod, you knew he was keepin’ it holy. Check em out on their FB page.
