My pomp is back, greased up and ridin’ high  we did a special on the Broadway play that’s comin’ to town starting Jan 24th at the Fisher. It’s The Million Dollar Quartet, the famous Sun Records Jam session in December 1956 with Elvis, Jerry Lee, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. We gave airtime to our special guest, the actor/singer/guitarist/Billy Woodward, who plays Elvis, The Memphis Flash, in the show.

I’m telling you, Billy Woodward is the real deal. We played two of his original tunes, The One and Survival from his upcoming CD. We have had the producer of the play on our show, Collin Escott, the foremost authority of Sun Records, who wrote Good Rockin’ Tonight, Jack Clement who produced the Million Dollar Quartet Jam Session and the Drummer, W.S. Fluke Holland. Jack said “I’d be remiss if I didn’t turn on the tape recorder”. The rest was history. You’ll hear what I’m talking about.

We re-aired parts of our interview with Cowboy Jack Clement and played rare tunes from the actual session. Man, you’ll hear Jerry Lee cut loose before he became famous, and see why he became one of the legends of Rock & Roll. Folks, don’t miss this gig at the Fisher starting January 24 thru Feb 5.
